The Asus Eee PC 1008P is very much a netbook in the standard roll and builds on the success of the Asus Eee PC Seashell 1005HA. It comes with a 10.1-inch screen with 1024 x 600 pixels, 160GB hard drive and 1024MB of memory. The Intel Atom N450 on the Asus Eee PC 1008P will have a clock speed of 1.66GHz, which puts it in line with the current Atom crop. However, this 45nm chip delivers dual-core performance but with a power output of only 6.5watts. So, while we won’t see much more in the way of grunt, it’ll handle twice the apps a current netbook can handle
