It’s been a while since my last post, i know, it’s my fault. I’ve been very busy with university and my other websites so i didn’t have time to get here and post.

I’ll try to sum up everything that happened these days “UMPC wise” in my life…

I sold my asus eee 701 a couple of days before the official release in spanish stores. A great move i detailed in this post: He vendido my Asus Eee, a tiempo.

I sold it to a stranger that offered 375€ for an “in the hands” sale. Awesome for me. Then i started browsing eBay for a new one and came across this e-bagel-tw seller i already read about in some forums and decided to order a 20gb linux Eee 900, it was 390€ shipping includded. Not bad considering how much i got for selling my old 701.

So it came and i downloaded a Windows XP Fundamentals For Legacy PCs rip made by a spanish guy called Karacorum (Ma quedao un XP nikelao) which i highly recommend to anyone because it’s so light and perfect. It even has a built in App to swith the “;” for our very own spanish “Ñ”.

Added the drivers from the Asus CD…

Then i started to customize it with rocketdock, and some basic programs, installed pidgin, vlc, firefox 3 and downloaded some games.

PokerTH Portable, Governor of Poker, Diablo, Neverwinter Nights, Lost in Time with Scumm and Unreal Tournament.

I was set.

But then a couple of days ago i stumbled upon Backtrack3 for wifi “audition”, a linux distro that will let you “remember” “your” “forgotten” wifi password. You know what i mean.

Im a total noob with linux but a guide i used worked fine enough to get my own password after a 20 minutes test. Ill detail the steps to do this in an upcoming post.

And that pretty much it.

Ill try to write some posts every now and then as i discover more things about my little liliput machine.
