Good choice with the Chrome browser. It’s the fastest browser for lower power PCs like netbooks or single core P4s. Both have about the same CPU throughput.

I just got this netbook for 299 at best buy and I gotta say. While it isn’t as fast as my Dell laptop it’s really fast and easy to use.
@drcheese2010 Yes it does, but it’s Windows 7 Starter. I would recommend XP over Windows 7 Starter in all cases, especially for netbooks.

Dial-up connection is where you use a phone-line to connect to the internet. If you use a home phone line to do this, it is horrendously slow at 56kbps (~4KB/s).
