  1. @LCHEUNG425 :) you’re totally right too
and now i still think that hp 5102 is the best
business class looking, brushed metal lid and super long battery life (10 hours), antiglare screen, high res, ssd..etc

the price is totally worth it

  2. @eggimage yup, i feel you on that. they always do what they can to mislead the average consumer. freaking stupid businesses. oh well, at least you know what you want and you get it :)

ye, and ive just read the latest news about 1018p and found out that the battery is only 44wh, theres no way it’ll last for 9 hours for this kinda specs
for sure thats only good up to 6 hours in real use, i’d say it’s around 4 hours in average

whats the point having a slimmer laptop when you have to carry an adapter with you and look for sockets wherever you go

sorry, to me, wintel netbooks are supposed to have more than 60wh to be called high mobility

  4. @eggimage i think it just depends on the battery, when i first bought my netbook, i was confused about it but there’s like different batteries that last longer. so that’s probably what the news is reporting.

  5. looks awesome, i wanna buy :D

  6. watched this video again and realized that there doesnt seem to be access to the hard drive.. which could mean that we may have to stick with the sluggish 5400rpm HDD without being able to swap it for an SSD? and a non-removable battery as well? oh man..

  7. actually i think it will be 6 hours max. they had a couple of confusing spec sheets but let’s wait until we are getting the first sample

  8. thanks. and is it really sporting 9 hours of battery life? some news say it’s 6.5 and others say 10… now i really dont know what asus is bringing us..

  9. oh this was just the sign of the 1016p, which was shown next to the 1018p

  10. why does it show 1016p in the end… this is really confusing

They look a copy of Sony vaio laptops, not as good as a vaio X but should be better when it comes to price, does anyone know when the 1018P will be out, and can you put in a mobile chip, or do you have to use the mobile usb dongle.

Those are the nicest looking netbooks I’ve ever seen – and with the 1.83GHz Atom N470 processor it has some decent power, especially for a netbook.

Very nice video. It seems like there is still some confusion between the ASUS Eee PC 1018p and ASUS Eee PC 1016p specs though

  14. @wardbert No way, even the black one is not in any way similar to the black Mac Book. It doesn’t have to, anyway, both devices look pretty cool to me.

  15. Should be sub $500, but its not official.

  16. Stupidest comment ever posted on youtube.

    Adds nothing to discussion either.

  17. mac book clone

  18. third!!!

  19. Those look really nice. I am interested to know the price.

  20. CensorshipFTL

    Looks really nice.

Is it really necessary to put so many fingerprints all over them though?
