It is the iPad killer. I pad is a toy, it is not really a full-function computer. It is a pretty toy with support for BS apps with which you cant really do much serious work. The Asus Pad is a complete opposite, its a dynamic platform, which can be a full-function computer on the go, in the office/school/home with the docking addon and it is also customizable (Apple products are not customizable, Steve Jobs is a Nazi) I want this… hopefully it will not cost much more than $500…

@RamaP94 Yeah the ipad might not have the full internet experience because of flash player, but you can still browse well and if you really want flash player you can just jailbrake it

I will most definitely buy the 12″ model when it comes out next year. As an artist I love the idea of running photoshop and drawing right on the screen. This is the first tablet I’ve seen that looks like they’ve actually gotten it right. iPad has no appeal to me because I use my computers to actually do stuff rather than just waste time.
and those programs are the things that make ipad apps. Plus this has flash.
the Ipad cant do half as much as this can and it probably has like a 1GHZ processor. This is probably the cheapest best pads. and it has a web cam?? This is like 10x better than a laptop and the ipad. Im getting the 12″ version because it has the full windows instead of a compact version. If only it had a disc reader on it. ASUS should make like a usb disc reading port that we can put cd/ dvds into and it can read them. And for the people who say the ipad has apps, well computers have programs.
@goodz4you This is the same company who couldn’t figure out how to do picture messaging until a few months ago, the ipad 2G is a threat to no one but PC makers in third world countries.
@themrharrison If you look at the ipad vs eeepad from a hardware perspective, since UI is mostly subjective anyway, the ipad is dead in the water. As far as UI goes if you really want to compare any iteration of windows will have a larger feature set and more flexibility than an ipad.

iPad doesn’t support unicode fonts and flash contents. Since this has Duo Core 2 Processor, Windows 7 Home Premium, 10 hrs of battery life, HDMI out put, mem card slot, webcam, (Regular)sim card slot , I believe this will kill iPad.

k i have an ipad and not saying this sucks..it looks very coool! but the ipad isnt meant to replace your laptop or ne thing like that its meant to just expand your experience of using technology and im siure this is awesome.
