Asus Eee 1000HE – My next netbook?
Thanks to Twitter I think I’m going to go for the Asus Eee 1000 HE. I’ve been reading and watching some videos about it and I think it really is what I need. Here is a video showcasing it’s main specs.
The 1000HE also host the latest Intel ATOM Processor, N280 (1.66 GHz, FSB 667MHz), Intel 945 chipset, allowing faster boot up speed and accessing files faster than before.
It has a 8700mAH battery that allows for up to 9.5 hours of run time, bringing All Day Computing to the next level.
With the new 92% Chiclet Keyboard, Wide Multi-Touchpad and wide palm rests makes it an ergonomic design Netbook allowing maximize productivity and comfort.
With 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth, you get all the wireless connectivity you need to connect to any Hotspots and other Bluetooth devices.
With a total of 170GB (160GB HDD and 10GB Online Storage), you will have plenty of storage capacity for your music, video and work files. You can also share files through 10GB Online Storage.

I have the 1000H with only the 80gb hdd in it. I upgraded the copy of XP to Pro, and love it. It’s my development laptop. Of course, if you get the HE, you’ll have to upgrade the ram to 2gb. Otherwise, what’s the point?
I am actually working on saving up some extra to also pick up the HE. I love the EEE pc!
