I’ve just now finished installing windows xp nlite version using i64X.com tutorial that can be found here:
Installation of Windows XP on an ASUS Eee PC
and an external cd drive.
It took me all day but i finally got it down. My Eee has now an awesome OS that boots up at lightning speed and runs perfectly smooth!
I’ve followed some videos at youtube to make this possible and now i have 2gb of ram. Now i need an external cd drive to install windows xp since im getting a lot of problems by installing it from a usb pendrive…
I’ll keep trying but i wasted all day trying to accomplish nothing.
I have my white Asus eee 701 4gb in my hands now and all i can say is WOW!
It so small and lightweight… Just one word: Awesome.
I am going to post some pics and videos tomorrow. I have to compare it with my dell xps m1210 (12″ screen) and my vaio tr1a (10″ screen).
First impression was better than I expected.
Right now I am downloading Win XP Karacorum distro and i have just updated my xandros skype to get the webcam running…
These are going to be some happy holidays!!!

After their lie at least this time they’ve been almost accurate.
Look at the time and date shown both at the USPS Track & Confirm report and the photograpy that my father sent me taken with his HTC Touch using Vodafone’s 3g connection.
I cant wait to get back home tomorrow!
